This is a sushi bowl in my tie dye series. It rests on macsur ebony. It is 8 inches in diameter. The technique is the same with the exception of the yellow interior of the bowl. I flashed the dye on the bare wood then laquered the piece.

Another great little piece. Love the base, some thought went into that too I’m sure. Understated, not essential, yet essential. I suppose it’s traditional, what ever, it really catches my eye.

You did a great job in presentation and skill in making this turning and the base. It is very beautiful and stands on it’s own merit.
