Here are a few shadow boxes I have made over the past year. Looking for ways to improve the construction and how the glass is held in place. Currently all the boxes are mitered and Miller doweled with the back and glass “holds” rabbited in. I have been using hot glue to hold the glass in place (reason is in the event the glass breaks it can easily be replaced). I am experimenting with placing splines in the miters for better strength, squaring and appearance. Any suggestions would be grateful.

I use framing gun from fletcher to hold glass/plexi in for the same reasons. Very easy and less of a mess.
