Project Information

Granpa Jack sent Grandson Jack to school today with this Hickory cutting board for his teacher. The inlay is a take off from the Apple Computer logo, made with Redheart & Walnut. This is a good sized board
Code:
12x18 x 1 1/2 inches thick & quite heavy. Rubber feet are from Rockler & finish is Howard's Butcher Block Oil. I do not think we can thank our teachers enough for all the things they teach our students
this age. Also a foot note, Jack received the Academic Allstar Award today for most improved student in his class. Congratulations, Way to go Jack….....................Granpa Jack

Very nice. Hickory would look great. thanks for thanking a teacher. as a retired 5th grade teacher I enjoyed many gifts, once known I liked tools even received some clamps and some sears and barnes and nobles gift cards, even lowes. I would have loved this cutting board. I made small pencil holders for the whole class at the end of the year for the last 10 years…27 at a time..a 4 inch pine block slanted holes, routed edge. and a small glued on block to make it tilt, as my thank you to the students. some even brought it to 6th grade for their desk, made my day. I put the year on the back. please see my home page.
