This is my first time building a real piece of furniture. It’s an oak console/hall table. I’m learning to build furniture in my spare time. It mostly mortise and tenon. The only screws are holding the table top down. Oddly enough, the only problems I had were with the finish.

Nicely done! Yeah….finishing is often the hardest part.

Awesome looking table… a little constructive criticism though, Usually you want you side aprons to come down as far as the front/back aprons. This will give a uniform appearance to the table. I think you did a great job with the finish.

yea,,I realized that after I got started. I’m working on 2 side tables now, not making that same mistake or a whole bunch more I made the first time. I should be learning on pine, but I like using oak..
