Here are some recent examples of “metal” coatings. It should last 10-15 years with yearly uv tuch up- Wax, poly….. Jay’s Custom Creations stuff are my practice pieces for my cnc machine bits and software as well as the coatings. I changed Jays logo to round on the door maganets. The material of choice is Medite (MDF Outdoor grade) All MDF are not created equal. Cacti pics are in progress, but to show how I create in multi-steps and mixed metals and patinas. Finally, yes I am a wood worker I.e the bench and table. The table has a piece of aged bronze coated medite in the center.

Thanks- Laguna IQ – CNC – Excellent machine and great customer support. The coatings are applied like paint (brush or spray it on) then if you want to age it- you use a patina or colored wax. I have used the company mentioned above and love their product. The coatings actually have fine metal in it. They market to sculpture type of customers, but I experimented with my various woodworking projects- see my site for more pics.
