Guess the Shadow Contest

Project by kolwdwrkr posted 232 days ago 831 views 0 times favorited 46 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Okay fellers and fellettes, lol, here is a new contest. Yep, got the contest bug from Trifern and Osageman. This is called guess the shadow. I will put the names of the people who guess the shadow correctly into a hat. All answers have to be in by 9pm PST Sunday night. Sunday at 9pm on the dot I will draw a name out of the hat. Sorry I won’t have any witness’s that have an account, but my girlfriend promises to see to it that I play fair and don’t pick a favorite. LOL. I don’t have favorites by the way. You are all my favorites. Hehe. I will not be giving any tips as to what this is but so you know it is a tool for woodworking. The winner will receive the pictured mallet and will also have his lumberjock profile name carved into the flat part of the handle. (Picture 5). There is no finish on this mallet. If nobody guesses what the picture is correctly I will take a picture at a different angle and restart the contest. Everyone gets 1 guess the first round, 2 guess’s the second round, and there won’t be a third round. I will hit myself over the head with it. LOL. I have confidence in all of you.

LOL, It could be Maria Shriver, who knows. Anyhow, lets add to the rules. Your guess has to be specific. You can’t just guess jig for example, you have to say what specific jig. I’m not saying it’s a jig. I said it was a tool before, it is used for woodworking. So be specific, only use 1 guess, and have fun. If you guess more then once I will use your first guess as your answer regardless if your other guess or guesses may have been right.

My first thought was a brace and a bit… but the handle part of the brace just continued to look peculiar to me… but after two more slugs of Czech Becherovka schnapps, squinting hard through the dust covered lens of my glasses, I see it clearly now. It is an adjustable table clamp! I remain curious though, kolwdwrkr, did you also drink the Becherovka schnapps to achieve the blurriness of the photo? Hmmmmmmmmm.

Okay peoples. I wanted to take the time to thank all of you for participating. I really appreciate the enthusiasm towards this contest. I thought this contest would flop, but it actually turned out to be fun. I especially like the creative side that lends some humor to the game. It makes it fun as well.
Although there was a ton of guesses I won’t need to place any names in a hat. In fact there is only one person that guessed correctly. And the winner : ND2ELK. Congratulations Tom. I can’t even fathom what made you guess a Router Guide, but it was correct. I’m surprised there wasn’t anyone that said the same just for spite. I hope you enjoy your mallet. Here is the item in question:
