I have just completed this turned box it measures 7” long X 3 1/4” wide and stands 7 3/4” tall. The main body is turned from Ash, the box is Sapele and the finial is holly stained black.
This is a great exercise in turning air

Very nice Derek. That’s a cool design to begin with, then you lift the lid. Very nice.

Very nice and an interesting challenge. Neat that you can see your chisel but would be interesting to sand while it is spinning, now I have a finger and now I don’t

Very interesting project, infact downright elegant. Your colored save really struck my eye, would like to lear how to do things like that. I just had to check other things you have made.
