well everyone here is my first portrait. it’s something I have been putting off because everyone has said that portraits are the hardest to do. I have one of my Brother and his late wife, but have been putting it off until I felt better about my skill. I found this one of someone we all know, so you tell me, Did I get the shading and burns right. Please be honest with me. Hope you all enjoy him. Your LJ Friend Jim

Well, I knew who it was instantly…if that’s any indication of your skill. Don Knotts has never looked so good. Oh my, now that was just a joke…LOL…I couldn’t resist, Jim. I think that it’s difficult for me to be very critical when my artistic skills havn’t graduated past an 8 pack of Crayolas. I think it’s a very nice likeness of the Duke.

Nice job Jim. An appropriate portrait, and a great pose. It is definitely the Duke.

All my teenage years I was nicknamed “The Duke” ‘cause I loved his movies so much. Nice job. New who it was right away. Its still my CB handle.

Deb, we have an historian in the family, he found out we are also related to Winston churchill. Butt my great, great great grandfather on my fathers side was a prussian general that escaped Europe and the hangman for killing a man sleeping with his wife. So some good some bad. jock mike
