I made this awhile back. Just before Christmas while grocery shopping..Coke had a display of Christmas Coke bottles shaped like a Christmas bulb. Leave it to me, the first thing I thought of was a humming bird feeder!
So I loaded up my cart…let the gkids drink it up and cleaned the bottles out. Then got on the lathe and made a holder for the top. Drilled a hole to put the wire in then apoxied it to the bottom of the bottle. Added the humming bird feeder part and TADA! An AWESOME feeder don’t you think??? My friend Gloria..laughing all the way home…saying “ONLY YOU would look at that and think of a feeder!” Oh well. What can I say? I can’t wait to make more for gifts. I have a lot of bottles to do up. Thanks for looking.

Cathy: Very unique and a strange gift to see a bird feeder from a coke bottle.

Very cool, except for having to drink the coke. I’ve heard some people like the stuff though. LOVE the hummingbirds! thanks…......

Very clever. Your mind must be always going. Sometimes mine has to take a rest. Otherwise I end up with way to many projects lined up. This weekend I have windows two trim, cabinets to trim, molding to put up and I was gonna bring out my paints to finish some things I’m painting. Guess what. I’m not. I’m going to the river and I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Maybe work the flower beds. I never seen the round coke bottles, my husband said he did. Very clever. Cute too!

Those are very cool Kathy, very very cool. You are lucky to have a mind that sees things like that in every day things that most people would cast aside. Great, creative idea. Cute too. mike
