This is a chair that my partner and I designed to be cut from a sheet of 1/2” OSB, and can pack down into a 1” high box. We refined our early study models so that the finished product makes the most efficient use of materials and has the strongest structure. By pre-gluing key pieces, the chair can be assembled and fully operational in under a minute without the need for additional hardware.
