This is a small music box , i used 1/8” thick spalted maple & 1/8” maple burl ,laminated them , & reversed the showing sides, inside & out ,top & bottom, i just used a lift off lid with a brass knob in the middle,i made the box & put the musical windup in the box then enclosed it so you can’t see the windup, i had some small oak trim & used it to line the bottom, the finish was natural danish oil, & wipe-on poly, again with the spalted wood & the burl this little project went well for me.
hope you enjoy—john

How are you milling your thin stock? I have the hardest time just trying to produce 1/4 stock fro drawers.
