Pirate Ship Play Area

I was commissioned to build a sensory room for a high end play area (they call it a sensory room) at a dayschool. The customer gave me pictures of what she wanted, complete with an Octopus Figurehead that was pretty custom. We ended up epoxying the floor to look like the ocean (complete with fish and wildlife). The beach is also an epoxy finish, with a sandy feel. That part’s not wood, but it adds to the overall project.

Thanks for looking.

That is a wonderful play area. You had to be very creative and inventive to be able to give her what she wanted by just looking at a picture. You really did a fine job on it.

I’ve never seen a playroom that nice! Most just have card tables with crayons!
This is fantastic!

Our local children’s museum has a similar set up, but it’s a lobster boat…. (a Maine thing).

Looks like fun.

And just to think, I had to play with sticks outside. What a deprived child I was :^o
