This idea came from my sisters father-in-law who was a furniture maker. He had made one for her and she gave it to me to make a pattern out of it. I made it a bit taller to handle bigger bowles in the bottom (per the suggestion of my sister). 1/2” shelf holders are inserted in routered grooves around the inside, which holds the shelf for another casserole or whatever.

That is really neat, Patti. We could use on in the part to carry hot dishes to the potlucks!!

Nice. Toting around 4 hot glass dishes in a trunk and getting them into the house during holidays is always a pain.

Very interesting, will have to give this some thought. we are always looking around for a cardboard box. big enough. Liked your jelly bean dispenser too, only trouble is there was no picture of how it works.
