Here is a little rustic shelf made from ? I started with a couple small pieces of firewood that I thought was soft maple until I cut it up. Not sure anymore what it was but it had pretty grain. I tried to preserve as much of the natural edge as possible.

my wife asked me to make a shelf, how did you join the supports from the shelf to the brackets? looks nice and is interesting how its put together.

Very nice design – love the live edge furniture.
How nice if I own a log home somewhere in Southeast Michigan, and all of suddent you drop by just to give me this shelf… LOL.
