Designed and built these chairs to use at our bonfire place. We like to make pancakes there and look at stars etc. so the chairs should acommodate this. Fun and interesting build. Quite happy about the result and now feel that i should make some for indoor use as well.

I documented design considerations and build in this blog.

Would love to hear what you think!

You would love to hear what I think? I think your chairs look AWESOME, that’s what I think. I like the color, I like the shape, I like the high back, I like the rope back rest and seat. Those are some terrific looking chairs. I see no chance of them not being comfortable. Great job, thanks for sharing.

These look great. Have you considered a rocking version?

Really slick design. Would like to know if the ropes become loose over time. Beautiful work!

Thanks guys!

Herb: Allways safe. Have already plans for another version so you might see more of this design
Madts: Have sailed a lot and like rope as well
Woodbridge: Thanks. Only happy to inspire
Pointer: Not realy. Well that is untill yesterday evening when i made the bonfire pictures and my neighbor came by. First reaction was “Hmm they would be even cooler in a ricking version” Guess i have to go back to the drawing table again….
Jim: Thanks a lot
MrFid: The rope will certianly become loose. There is a small length or rope hanging from the front rail for the same reason: It is easy to thighten all the ropes and then make a new knot.

Thanks for the responces. Sure is motivating for more work!
