Hi all,

I was inspired by Mads (MaFe) to make one of these and I had a lovely piece of Jarrah (thanks Bob) in the shed so thought I would give it a try, The Jarrah was large enough for two projects of this size which was nice also.

The blade needs more work as I didn’t have enough time today to get the first grind where I wanted it but I will get it sharpened up and start using it. The blade is just a modified No4 type which I just rounded off at the top to get it to fit nicely.

The style of the body is a-la Krenov and feels lovely in the hand and the piece of timber was just lovely to work.

Thanks for the inspiration Mads and thanks for the beautiful piece of Jarrah Bob.

Please be kind to each other.

Neat plane. Is the blade just nested in there and not fastened in any way!

Hi Jim
I used magnets as Mads did. Sorry the pics are taken before I got to that.

Very nice. I guess I missed the one from Mads. Looks like it may be very handy. I will add this to favorites for later, thanks for posting.

Hi Jeff

He (Mads) gets through so much work I’m not surprised you missed it, I can’t even keep up with his posts let alone the ones I would like to have a go at, he is a machine!

I think it will be very handy too for cleaning up dried glue and dowelled things and the like.

Thanks for your thoughts.

David
