I ordered a hugh block of hard maple off ebay and had no idea what to do with it. I chain sawed it in half and decided to make a set of drawers in one and wait for a better idea for the rest of it. It certainly did’nt turn out as nice as I wanted because I used a hand held dewalt jigsaw with a four inch blade after I cut the back off with a chain saw, to make the drawers. It still is not a fulfilling project, but the best I could do at the time. I since have seen some of the other drawers done on band saws and yesterday went to sears and bought a sears band saw that I hope will do the job for me. The others are just bowls I’ve made for something to do. Hope you enjoy. The drawer with the antlers is the bottom of the piece . the two plates and tumbler were fun, the tumbler was wet, there was worms and water spraying all over me while I was turning it. I still don’t know what kind of wood it was.

Clever idea.
