I told my wife that once I bought the rest of the equipment for the new shop I would build her a new kitchen. She told me I could use my retirement checks, SS checks and part time Lowe’s checks to buy all the equipment I needed. Now I know why I married this woman! Only kidding DEAR! I know none of you other jocks have problems with your women making up their minds on what they want. My lovely wife has made up her mind that she wants one just like this. Not only is she beautiful but she has good taste as well!

I’m sure she will be glad she made that deal with you when you finish her kitchen.

Lets get real here, from a VERY practical standpoint she not only is smart, considerate, loving, and has good taste (she married you didn’t she). When you add the cost of the tools and the cost of the raw material vs the cost of store bought cabinets. she is also a good economist.
Will be a great kitchen too.

Well I’ve looked at your other work and this looks to be well within your capabilities. So we know what you are doing this summer. Better get it done before the fall hunting season starts. I just finished upgrading our family room so I plan to go fishing a lot this summer (-;
Getting a decision is one of my big problems. A couple of years ago I told my “boss” she could have new kitchen counters. It took her over 6 months to decide and then she still wasn’t sure. She finally picked a quartz aggregate that turned out fine.

Tom, old buddy, Go For It! I know you can do it. I’ve seen what you’ve done before and this is a piece of cake but maybe a BIG piece of cake. (How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.)
I enjoy building cabinets most of the time. It’s real nice when you look at the finished project and see how pretty they are.

She let /enchoraged you to buy the tools you need and she has made up her mind already on the style of cabinets she wants! If she pretends not to mind the inevetable saw dust and general mess associated with a kitchen remodel she is definnatly the perfect wood workers wife

Tom, if you like these cabinets you should come and visit Holmes County, Ohio. Schrocks is only one of many great Amish cabinet shops in Holmes County. This part of Ohio is located southwest of Canton ( Football Hall of Fame) and is the largest Amish community in the U.S. While here you could visit Keim Lumber in Charm, Hartville Hardware in Hartville (HartTools), and Heartland Furniture in Mt. Hope. I can guarantee that you can get a great meal at Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen. Try the Amish Wedding Steak. Jim
