Here is a roll container, that I built. One of three. The middle one, the one that I built from beginning to end was a project that was very challenging and the other two, built by two colleagues of mine, we all built them pretty much separately, and they still all had to pass at the same height and width. Not to mention all the hand cut joints had to be accurate. If you look carefully in the pictures, you will see the top of all three is the same board, the grain goes through all three! That was not easy, the “slab” of Euro. Oak that we started out with was over 5 meters long and 2 inches thick!!! pretty heavy! The drawers in the outer two are finger jointed with the under/over edge acting as a grip. On the outer two there are two drawers on one side and two on the other.
The middle one is used for Tele and DvD player and all that media type equipment. There are cut outs in the back of each shelf for the cabeling as well as one in the bottom level to allow access for power.
The white is melamine high pressure laminate.
The finish is sanded to 240 oiled then allowed to dry 24 hours then sanded to 320 and oiled again.
