To make small rabbets I build this unique plane.
Needed small rabbets for bottoms of boxes or drawers.
The rabbets are at most 0.25” deep and 0.25” wide.
Since I can plane with both sides of the plane i can simply plane both board sides with one plane.
Wood is from scrap maple and white ash, blade 1”, 40 deg bed angle.

Slick.
The penny makes a good striking pin too, for fine adjustments.

I like it, welcome to LJ.

Nice little plane, getting the hang of tuning and setting them?
Pennies hard to find out here in Alberta, That’s why Kiefer uses Dollars smallest change anyone carries! LOL
Well guess that will change real soon when them NDPers get in gear, could be worse, could’ve been Liberals!
