I saw this project by Steve – check out – http://lumberjocks.com/projects/64798. I was so taken by it I thought I’d give it a shot. Mine is a little different from Steve’s. I have some technique issues but not bad for my first try. I went with slanted ends for a little artsy look.

My materials are maple, walnut and cherry. Finish is mineral oil and beeswax.

This is destined for a table in North Dakota.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks guys. North Dakota is close to heaven – so a stairway to North Dakota a/k/a heaven would certainly work.

Thanks Dennie – it was a fun project. I actually took the board to work with me today and I think I have half the firm dizzy from looking at it trying to figure out what way is up!

I very much enjoy cutting boards with any kind of geometric pattern on them. Yours is a good one.

Thanks guys. Herb – trying to get back into it. I’m enjoying my time in the shop and hope to get more soon.
