Lacewood is such a nice wood almost looks like snake skin, i used the top, & 4 sides with lacewood & the bottom was spalted birch, & a musical windup housed in maple. The wooden pull is made from bolivian rosewood , i used box joints for the corners , the lift out tray i used spalted birch for the sides & 1/8” oak plywood bottom , to was held up by lacewood runners at the same height as the music enclosure, brass hinges & mirror from Lee Valley. The finish i used natural danish oil & wet sanded between coats & several coats of clear poly with minwax coatings to finish it off. The top & bottom edges have a profile edge with 2 different router bits.
