We were moving some things around on one of Barb’s bookshelves,

& found these guys sitting behind some books.

As you can see by the date on this, its been around for awhile.

This is a carving I roughed out with my Duplicarver which I got rid of,

because it was to boring, monotonous, & noisy.

Even after roughing it out with the machine, you have to go over it with hand tools.

That may be why I held back on showing this carving, because I can’t take full credit for it.

How do you go about giving a machine credit?

This is carved from Applewood, & it stands 7” tall.

Very nice Dick. Its hard to believe how fast time goes by sometimes, but when you find the past it catches up quickly.

I like hand carving also but I really do not think there is anything wrong with using power tools to rough out anything and still take full credit for it.

I love the carving.

Heck, I would like to use a few power tools on my wife to smooth (not rough) out her attitude sometimes <laugh>. I am really kidding, my wife is nothing but nice to me and puts up with all my crap. She is a great women, I just could not resist the joke :)

Thanks Snowdog!

It’s a good thing you covered yourself on the wife thing, or you’d be in deep doo doo.
