This project was a difficult one for me but it taught me how to carve. I adapted as I carved and learned when to walk away and even when to avoid it as I find I need to be in the right frame of mind. Once I know how I can achieve something nothing can stop me.
It is carved from a single block of lime/bass wood and measures 19” gun tip to gun tip and about 2 and half inches deep.
I added small brass screws rather than trying to carve and the thorns are super glued on from a real roses bush. It is also hand painted with acrylic paint.
