Hey everyone, as you all know from my last posting of the chest, I am on my way back to Sea and soon to close down shop. I just wanted to post the final product of this retirement chest w/ shadow box inset. It was construct from my own design out of Hickory and Ash. The removable bottom is Spanish Cedar. I was not able to inset all the decorations for the retiring Senior Chief as his household goods were about to be shipped out and he wanted it on the truck. Anyway, I hope you like it and I can’t wait to return with new items in a couple of years. I will always be own when I am not out steaming the open waters, but unfornuately I will be without a shop. See all of you soon.

SeniorChief,
Excellent work. Sacrifice is an easy word to say, but a hard thing to do. I hope you will find a moment every once in a while to check back in to this community for a monetary distraction from the serious and necessary work that you do to keep the rest of us safe. Thank you for your service and be safe.

Senior Chief that is a 4.0 job Sailor. Great looking chest.
Don’t mean this in a negative way – I sincerely appreciate your service, but what a difference from the time I was discharged from the Navy in 1967. I was a Navy Corpsman and was shocked when I returned to the States to find that most people (not all) did not appreciate the valuable contributions that the Military personnel had made to their freedom. It’s very rewarding today to see the sense of Patriotism and Appreciation displayed for the sacrifices made by our Servicemen and women.
