This was my pinewood derby car for this year. Every year I go for best of show and this was my last year competing. This car won best of show. It is a BMW concept car. Unfortunately I’m not the best at detailing with paint so my cars usually look better unpainted.

Very nicely done. How many hours did you put into it? I can see why it won!

I remember helping my son make those for Scouts. Always thought there should be two categories one for boys and one for the “grown” up boys (fathers). We made one similar to your one year and used a block of plastic for the windshield the we shape to the stream lines of the car. It not only won best design but also the race.
They are fun projects. We even trued up the wheels on the lathe and polished the axel pins (nails) for smooth running. Your spoiler is a nice touch.

Wow! It’s easy to see why it won!

I can also remember building pinewood derby cars when our son was in Scouts. A lot of good memories!
