This is a writing desk I made for my 8 year old daughter. The base is painted maple with one simple center drawer. The top is walnut finished with my our turp./BLO/spar varnish wiping varnish mixture. This was a very fun little project that she followed closely and gave approvals along the design/building/finishing process.

Very nice project. It’s also great having her around the project. Something she’ll remember for a long time.
