This is my first cradle, I was pretty excited about making it. It’s made out of cherry and walnut. there is no metal in it, it is all natural; held together with different jointery and the miller dowel system. I used several coats of shellac and sealed it with a satin poly.

Very nicely built and finished first cradle. The first cradle looks very impressive.
Did you practice making similar project using scraps or wood of lower grade before?

No, I just had to take my time and make sure that I didin’t make any mistakes; of course I did which brought up new challenges of ho to fix the mistakes. So in an odd sort of way the cradle kind of designed and created itself. thank you for the comments
