These are three mantles I built for a custom house. Just MDF paint grade, but sometimes those are fun because they’re quick and easy. The first two are on either side of a double sided fireplace between the master bedroom and adjoining study. I designed them all myself but I am especially pleased with the first one.

That center one is pretty well exactly what I’d been trying to figure out what to do. It’s clean and not overly done at all. I’m going to hork your mantel and whip one up like it.
Besides.. We’d been without a fireplace mantel for a year and a half waiting for just the right idea to come to mind.. Wife will kill me if I don’t have something up for this Christmas. :)
