I’ve been working hard trying build on my skills as a bowl turner. This bowl is a 9” x 3” Western Maple bowl. It’s quite figured, which makes me very happy. It’s finished in a food safe finish made of a wax and lemon oil mix.

-- ??? My mistakes heat the house. It's very warm in here. ???

Nice figure on the bowl. I too am an emerging bowl turner and a lot of my first ones have this shape, however, none have this great grain. Great job!

Bag Boy, That’s a great bowl.

Western Maple is a softer version of our “hard Maple” from mostly the east.

Nice bowl shape now you need to make the rest of the set ;-).

I made a set in High School wood shop for the buss driver.
The ones I made were OK but yours looks better.
