Cedar duck call - single reed

The Cedar is Eastern Red Cedar that was locally sourced several years ago. I was riding home from work one evening and noticed a rather significant size Cedar tree, which had been cut into manageable sections, lying alongside the road way. I did notice that it was in the vicinity of the high voltage distribution lines. Namely, directly underneath them.

I assumed the utility company had cut the tree and was apparently going to return at a later date to pick up the portions to trash.

So I stopped and asked the homeowner in the vicinity about the tree. A very nice young lady. She confirmed that the power company was going to take them to the refuse pile.

A truck load later and some years air drying and here we are
