My wife decided that our living room needed to be redecorated to a more rustic style, which suited me fine, but new end tables and lamps were needed. I began creating inside my feeble mind and the pictures show what happened between my mind and the living room. I have always liked the look of aromatic cedar and love the smell in the shop, but I must have used $20 worth of epoxy filling cracks and splits. I suspect the sawmill I purchased the cedar from might not have dried it properly or completely. The legs are joined to the post via mortise and tenon joints. Finish is shellac. I converted the Coleman lanterns to LED lamps running on 12 VDC. I was a bit disappointed in the amount of light, but the effect is nice.
