I built a clock!

It was a gift to my mother for Mother’s Day 2015.

I got the idea from this book that my wife bought for me but scaled up the dimensions to fit the larger clock face I bought. I intended to make it shorter, but got eager to apply finish and forgot to make that last cut. I think the aspect ratio is a little off now. I’ve learned for next time. The wood is all purpleheart.

Love your clock I think its just right ! Not an easy timber to work with , but quite rewarding.
I think you have made a real nice job of it well done.
