This is a copy (with modifications to suit my skill level and pocketbook) of the cover project of Fine Woodworking issue 203 February 2009. All red oak stained ‘red oak’ and ‘golden oak’ for the contrast. The drawer is made of poplar with unfinished aromatic cedar as the bottom. Completely finished with several coats of shelac and denatured alcohol.
