I used to spray my projects out doors but I was always annoyed by the wind/bugs/setup time. I finally became fed-up after spraying a painted project white and finding that a million bugs loved my project so much that they wanted to be a part of it forever!
The booth is quite simple. Its a 12’ x 10’ rectangular 2×4 frame suspended from the ceiling by threaded rods. The frame is suspended just below the garage door opener so that the opener is still completely functional.
Two sheets of plastic cover the booth. One goes from the floor and over and down from left to right, and one from front to back. This leaves a seam on each corner of the room that I simply tape-up when in use. I put a painter’s drop cloth on the floor.
When not in use, I simply pull off the tape from the corners and roll each of the walls up with a piece of conduit and hang it from the frame.
