This is another nice box. I totally agree with you and Charlie about sapwood adding character to a piece. Cherry is my favorite wood and I use pieces with sapwood to add visual interest to the piece. The rosewood is gorgeous.

I have long admired your work from afar.
i ventured into bandsaw boxes after reading Lois’s book and have use her designs as an educational exercise.
Yes I intend to design my own interpretation of the bandsaw box. I have actually made a small heart shaped box for a friend.
