“A Face Only A Mother Could Love”

10 3/4” tall, 4 3/4” wide and 3” thick

I hand carved this driftwood knot from one piece of wood. I carve using tools similar to those of a dentist. There is a motor, hand piece and foot pedal, along with various bits that I use to create each of my carvings. I begin with a plain piece of wood and an idea. I begin shaping and the wood comes to life before me. There is nothing that I enjoy more. I like to accentuate my cuts using an oil stain.

This is a wall hanging carving. There is a hanger on the back, along with my signature and the name of the carving.

Blowin’ in the wind

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you can call him a man?
the answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind.

Bob Dylan

Well done Josh

Great as always Josh! You have great eye hand skills. Do you use a magnifier?

Thank you, guys! Thanks, Tom! I don’t use any sort of magnification- just the Eagle eyes :)
