A friend who is also a turner came over a couple weeks ago and we played with some lathe techniques – tool control, sanding (and how to prevent sanding) and undercutting the rim. This was an old dry roughed out bowl blank that I had on the shelf. I put a foot on it because I was afraid that I would turn through the bottom if I didn’t.
