Here’s another couple of bowls carved from popular rescued from the firewood pile. The first one took quite a while to get right due to all the lines in it. Couldn’t stand to just make a simple square bowl. Had to make it difficult. :-)

See ,as you do more you will keep making them more complex,Believe me sometimes I carve one then when I start sanding I ask myself “what were you thing???!!!)

Believe it or not you live very close to some of my relatives. Know any Goldens? Liked the TV stand/storage unit you built. The shirt’s gotta go, though. :-)

Thanks for the input, Scott. I still want to find a big chunk of wood and see had badly I can waste it trying to do a bowl similar to yours. I go back and look at your carving every once in a while to get wowed. If I ever move back to NM, I’m gonna camp out at your place and stay ‘til you show me how you do that.
