This is a solid body 6 string electric guitar with a slotted head. I made it out of mesquite but because of the size of the boards it was made of many pieces. The body is four pieces and the neck is two pieces with the head scarfed to the main neck. The neck is a bolt on using 4 #10 stainless cap screws. It has a 24 3/4” scale and is 1 7/8” at the nut. I used a Gibson Classic 57 pickup. It was built in New Orleans, moved to Colorado and now resides in Tennessee. I have never had to reset the neck or adjust the thrust rod. Mesquite is one stable wood. The finish is clear lacquer.
