Project Information

Disc sander is 40cm in diameter, on flip top trolley. Front table can be angled to 45 degree and contains also angle gauge on top rail. It has very strong motor 1,2 HP. Sanding paper (100) is sticked with velcro surface (from hardware store). It removes material very quickly!
Cyclone separator is 38cm in diameter, made of 3mm thick plastic and other parts were made of playwood. Bottom cardboard barrel has capacity 60 lit, I bought it for 10$. Vacuum cleaner is strong 1200W Metabo.
I tried sveral designs of cyclone separator - this one is PERFECT! Absolutely nothing in vacuum cleaner bucket.

There is also link to You Tube video of how it works :

Two top quality projects and very useful. I use a Shopsmith and was surprised how often I use the disc sander. You will get lots of use out of yours. The tilt feature is an added bonus. Great job.
I use my dust collection only on the router table and RAS. My main DC is a broom and dust pan. I hope you get more use from yours..

Čuj Bambi, nije tu bilo nekog nacrta.

I wish I could make one of these it looks very precisely built,I guess i would need use of a table saw to cut evrything accurately!
