Yeah Karson, I did sharpen them. I got them on ebay and they needed it. When we were kids my brother used to leave huge nicks in my dad’s chisels and open paint cans with them, so perhaps I needn’t have bothered, but they were as dull as screwdrivers when I got them.

Chris,
Nice looking chisel rack.. Great design.. What were your intentions behind including the door and small storage area under the chisels? to store miscellaneous tools? or smaller chisels? sharpening stones?

Scott,
The plans came that way, and I liked the way it looked. If it were mine I’d be keeping the sharpening jigs behind the door. I guess a couple of stones would fit too. There is an adjustable shelf inside (sorry, no pictures), and it is roomier than it looks.

Great looking rack. I need to make one for my chisels. I sharpened mine on my new WS-3000 sharpener and man are they sharp now. Now I have to protect them. I think I will favoite this one.

Very nice lines and proportions… Clean and unadorned… I like it a lot!
If I copied it, would you be honored, or upset? <g>

This is a great looking chisel rack. One thing that struck me was the way the color of the wood compliments the handles. It looks like the rack was meant for this set of chisels.
