this is one of my current projects – a display cabinet. Next step will be a clear finish and then the glass front, sides and shelves will be installled. The wood is Tasmanian Blackwood, I was able to obtain enough of this to keep me busy for a couple of years, and its been seasoned for at least 3 decades. Nice stuff to work with too. Another recent project was the wine rack, made from recycled timber from a hundred-year-old railway wagon. Nobody knows for sure just what it is, but it is a tropical Queensland variety, very dense, hard and very heavy. The pic shows it before I applied a clear finish. cheers Peter

Pete this is very cool. The cabinet is a great woodworking creation. The wine rack is also a wonderful job.
