I built a house a few years back. When it was finished and turned over to the owners it was a relief. At the open house I mentioned that the ceiling would look good in Red Oak. The next winter I received the call.
The ceiling has a total of 20 different plans, one for every side on the house. I built and pre finished it in the shop. The 48” medallion is 20’ from the floor.
You can see the house building process @

Fantastic work…on the celing as well as the rest of the house. I just finished going through all the pictures at the link above…wow. I can see why you’re glad to finish. The home is beautiful. It must have been a real logistical “challenge”.
Thanks for posting it.

Great looking ceiling there grizzlyman. I know how much time it takes to make that happen. I have helped build a couple ceilings like that. They are a great challenge. Great job.

This is an intense and inspirational ceiling. I don’t know if you have ever played any of the “Myst” series computer games but this ceiling reminded me of some of the surreal graphics in those games.
Way cool, Thanks for posting.
