I designed these four bedz big enough to fit each of my nieces “American Girl” dollz.
They each chose their own color from some sample stained pieces. So…. they new I was makin’ them something but didn’t know what and when it would arrive. Mema made the covers and pillowz. Totally thrilled they were!!
The reason for makin’ these bedz is that in the american girl catalogue, the bedz they sell are too small for the dolls and way too expensive for the poor quality. One solution: Make bedz for them myself! All of this wood, (red oak) is leftover cutoffs from cabinet face frames. Didn’t cost me a cent and worth so much! This bed pattern carried over to when I made the “toddler bed” for a life size doll, my niece Adelyn. I know these same pics are on my blog but I thought I should post here also. Peace

I have been wanting to make a doll bed for my granddaughter, but everyone I’ve seen has been way too clunky. I really like your design. When I first looked at the pictures I couldn’t tell what size the beds were. Would you be willing to share some dimension?
