As a mere social coffee drinker, I am somehow mystically connected to the uber dedicated coffee guys in Houston and other parts of the world. At a coffee “cupping” night, I overheard one of their conversations about an upcoming expo and the need for a table. I volunteered to make them a table to match the exotic quality of their coffee (Check out the story here)

One consideration was weight. It needed to be light as it will be shipped around the country. Size is another issue. 3’x7’ is what they wanted and it needed to be bar height so people could step into the booth and taste the coffee at standing height. The table is made using the strip canoe “technology” and is hollow, double sided, and filled with foam for rigidity. Bar top finish, pipe base, and drain in the middle for emptying cups.

Very Very cool. I am a huge fan of the industrial steel and wood look.

Thank you! I like the look too, but here it is being used to help properly stabilize a bar height table and be easy to take down and transport.

Have your say...
