This table I first saw on sale on a website. I liked the way it looked so I tried to make my own. It is mahogany with birdseye maple veneer and I carved a ” L” out of walnut for the drawer pull. I tried giving dovetails a shot on the drawer but I need a lot more practice. The top mahogany was a very wide and thick blank that had cracks on each end. So I ripped each crack, then resawed each piece and edge glued them to get the top piece and bottom sides. I recently finished a mirror to match the table. i was kind of rushed so it didnt come out as planned.

That’s cool. Nice work on the L, great project.

Nice lines and form. I’m not crazy about dovetails either. I hunt and eat doves but leave the tails alone… lol

Nice table. Wish I had a place for something similar.
