This chair is made out of ash, and a great many people disagreed with my decision to stain it a blueish color. I like the say it turned out and gave it to my mother.

I liked the way you blended the grain with the carved out backrest, the seat is great. I too would like the to see more on joinery…color stain… different, but not displeasing. Thanks for showing!

You know the choice of the finish is to the maker… I’ve made a blue mandolin ( which is not the favorite of most people) but in the end I wanted one and made one, and I thick it looks great…You can see for yourself on my profile.

I love that you went with your own idea and used this light blue on this amazing looking Maloof style chair.I would also love to see more pictures of different angle, joints, and indoor.. Great job!

I like it. I redid 2 school desk tops with Ash and stained them blue also. You can view them here: . I like the design of your chair. Looks comfy.
