I never thought chair making can be this much fun. This one is the second chair I’ve ever made from walnut with cherry “socks”. I think the next one will be a different design (if I can come up with one). Thanks for looking.

How did you carve those sexy legs?

Hi Terry,
I made the legs with an old Sears router tool I bought 20+years ago. Both the bit and the tool have been discontinued and mine are on their last leg (no pon intended)

Adartur, Thanks

Great job! Looks like you have mastered the contour seat and that walnut back is gorgeous. The socks are a nice accent. Hard to believe you did the legs with a 20 year old router. Thanks for posting.

Unique and attractive design. Can’t tell from here how it sits, but it looks very nice.

Thanks gentlemen, gfadvm, the back has my wife’s back contour. It was originally 4” thick.

Gorgeous figure in that walnut, Mr. Jinx! I’d say you are getting pretty good at chair making. Can you post a side view to show the back contour? Thanks for sharing.
