The Memory of "RUSTY"!

My good friend Bill, asked me to carve Rusty’s name on this cross.

It was one year to the day that Rusty passed away.

Rusty was Bill’s son’s dog, but ever since Bill retired,

he would go visit Rusty, & they made their daily walk a ritual.

There’s been a vacant spot in Bill’s heart ever since Rusty passed away.

I asked Bill if it would be all right, for me to carve a relief of Rusty.

He didn’t have a picture of quite the pose I needed.

Not being an artist myself, I searched Google for an image of a Golden Retriever,

& found this one, which was just what I needed.

You can see more pictures of this project in My Blog.

that’s a great tribute to Rusty, Dog’s are such loyal companions. I have a Golden Retriever and don’t know what i would do without him. Great job,

Thanks all!

My friend Bill just stopped by to pick up the cross.

He already paid us with a nice batch of homemade soup for Barb, & me.

We’ll eat good tonight.<(:O}#

Thank you Chris,

Now Bill has to wait for the frost to leave the ground.

It could more than a month.

Thanks Scott,

My friend Bill was astonished at all of the nice comments that have been made.

That goes to show what a great group of people we have here on Lumberjocks.
